Our new MH2: a continuation of our services

On Monday, September 27, 2024, La Maison Simonne-Monet-Chartrand (MSMC) officially launched its workplace awareness campaign, “Sentinelles.” During this wonderful day, guests witnessed the unveiling of the official name of the new second-stage house.
Thus, the Louise Latraverse House was inaugurated. The remarkable success of “L’Amour Crisse,” Louise Latraverse’s heartfelt project, contributed significantly to funding this new house.
To honor Louise and her extraordinary generosity, the Executive Director had long dreamed of naming this new building after her. She explains:
“This new 15-unit building will provide a confidential and secure space for women at risk of femicide and their children to strengthen their efforts to regain control over their lives, with the support of the MSMC intervention team in physical, psychological, legal, judicial, economic, and financial matters. Moreover, the idea of bringing together Simonne-Monet-Chartrand and Louise Latraverse for this cause made perfect sense for us.”
We are deeply grateful to note that Ms. Latraverse designed the logo for the house that bears her name, with all the generosity she is known for.
